Connect Fibre develops, builds and operates Fibre-to-the-Premises ("FTTP") broadband networks, using fibre-optic technology to deliver broadband speeds of around 1,000 Mbit/s¹ - significantly faster, more reliable and more resilient than traditional fibre-to-the-cabinet networks.

The Averon Group has supported the growth of Connect Fibre from its early stages, helping to establish a network serving more than 100,000 premises. Continued support has enabled the business to secure and deliver government-backed contracts through Building Digital UK (BDUK), alongside significant grant funding to extend high-speed broadband to underserved communities, including Staffordshire and Derbyshire.

Demand for high-quality digital connectivity continues to increase as businesses and households become increasingly dependent on reliable broadband services. Government initiatives, including Project Gigabit, are accelerating the rollout of gigabit-capable networks, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
